John Leech MP exercises for lung health

"We forget how delicate our lungs really are"
MP for Manchester Withington, John Leech, has backed the British Lung Foundation's bid to encourage members of the public, regardless of their age, to take regular exercise in order to protect their lungs.
John Leech MP said:
"We don't always realise how delicate our lungs are and what an important job they do in keeping us mobile and active.
"I am delighted to be able to support the British Lung Foundation's campaign to encourage us to look after our lungs."
John helped demonstrate how exercise like cycling or brisk walking allows the lungs to deliver oxygen-rich blood to working muscles, keeping us healthier and fitter.
Previously named the 'North-West Lung Cancer Champion', John has campaigned excessively on the topic of lung cancer, visiting the specialist facility at the Christie Hospital and calling on the government to implement a lung screening program similar to that available in the US.
