A recent report has found evidence of dyslexia in 55% of children failing SATs tests in Key Stages 1 and 2

MP for Manchester Withington, John Leech, has participated in an end-of-term photo to raise awareness and funds to support dyslexia training in schools.

The photograph was the brainchild of Xtraordinary People who launched their Xtraordinary Week campaign this week.

John Leech MP said: "I was delighted to be able to support Xtraordinary People in their campaign. It is distressing to learn that, even today, so many dyslexic children do not receive appropriate teaching to fulfil their potential. If every school in England was to ensure a specialist dyslexia trained teacher was on hand to support dyslexic students, millions of children will be given the chance they deserve."

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.
