Liberal Democrat MP for Manchester Withington, John Leech, has given his support to a charity poster competition launched by the charity CO-Gas Safety, focusing on carbon monoxide poisoning.
It is hoped that the school poster competition will raise awareness regarding the silent killer that is carbon monoxide. The competition is dedicated to the memory of Edward Tomlinson, who tragically died of Carbon Monoxide poisoning in Lebanon and is aimed at ages 10-11 and 16-17.
When talking about the competition, John Leech MP said, " I was shocked to discover that on average carbon monoxide poisoning kills 40 people every year and hope that by supporting this competition, we can help raise awareness about the dangers of carbon monoxide and other fuel toxins."
