John joins the dancers of Lancasterian and wins a flower!
John Leech MP won a prize as he was shown how to dance the foxtrot and the waltz at a tea dance, which was held by pupils at Lancasterian School last week.
The 1940's themed tea dance was held to raise funds for the schools dance team to enter the national championships will be performed by members of the school's wheelchair dance team.
Lancasterian school, a school for children with physical disabilities is currently fighting against Council proposals to cut its provision.
John Leech MP said, "I was impressed with the dancing skills of the Lancasterian pupils and I learnt a few new tricks along the way. I even won a flower in the dance off!"
Assistant Headteacher Kira Buhler added, "It was great to have your support we all really appreciated it."
