Plastic will be reduced by 247 tonnes and cardboard by 115 tonnes, saving 2000 trees as a result

The environmentally aware MP, John Leech has pledged to follow the example set by chocolate manufacturers, Cadbury to take action on climate change through his work and daily activities.

Easter is coming up and there is a lot of unnecessary packaging that gets thrown away so Cadbury, the worlds largest confectionery company, have promised consumers that this Easter they will reduce plastic use by 75% and cardboard use by 65%.

This comes as a response to widespread concerns in the UK that there is just too much unnecessary packaging. John Leech says: "Whilst you are enjoying your Easter chocolate, make sure you give a thought to the environment!"
